How do I get an Ohio Marijuana Card?
There are 3 simple steps to obtaining your medical marijuana card. First, you will schedule an appointment with local marijuana doctors at any location throughout the state. After obtaining a diagnosis, give us a call and we can schedule an in-person evaluation to submit your paperwork to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. With approval, you'll receive your card via email from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
If I make an appointment, am I guaranteed to get approved?
We cannot guarantee approval of your medical marijuana card. Our certified medical marijuana doctors must make a determination whether or not an individual patient will receive a recommendation for medical marijuana following our in-person examination.
To increase the likelihood of a doctor recommendation we recommend that you bring to your appointment all relevant medical records documenting your qualifying condition.
What is the cost for a medical marijuana card in Ohio?

Where can patients purchase medical marijuana?
Once you have obtained a recommendation from a certified doctor and received your Ohio medical marijuana card, you'll be able to purchase medical marijuana at any of the 57 licensed dispensaries located throughout the state of Ohio. Our doctors will be able to provide a recommendation.
How much medical marijuana can be purchased from the dispensary?
The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program has set caps on the amount of marijuana that can be purchased by a patient within a 90-day period.
Are patients allowed to smoke medical marijuana?
Dispensaries will likely be selling marijuana flowers and plant material, but you are expected to only use these products for vaporizing. The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program has strictly banned the smoking of medical marijuana. That said, many patients quickly discover the many benefits of vaporizing medical marijuana and put aside their unhealthy smoking habit.
How much will medical marijuana cost?
The cost of medical marijuana will be set by each dispensary. At this point, it isn’t clear what those prices will be exactly.
Are patients allowed to grow their own medical marijuana?
No, growing your own medical marijuana is prohibited under Ohio law. Medical marijuana must be purchased at a state-licensed dispensary.
Is there going to be home delivery for medical marijuana?
Delivery of medical marijuana will not be available in Ohio. However, a patient's registered caregiver can buy medical marijuana from a dispensary on behalf of a patient and deliver the medication to the patient's home.
Can my employer still drug test me for marijuana if I am a registered patient?
Unfortunately, the answer is yes, they can. Ohio does not provide protection to medical marijuana patients from employee drug testing. It will be left to the discretion of each employer whether they wish to recognize an employee's medical marijuana approval as an exemption to company drug testing policies.
